Nourish India
India is home to the largest undernourished population in the world by far. About 14% of Indians are malnourished, 20% of Indian children under 5 are underweight, 34.7% of Indian children under the age of 5 have stunted growth, and 51.4% of Indian women in the reproductive age (15-49 years) are anaemic. India was ranked 94th in the global hunger index in 2020, with about 190 million unnourished people.
Nourish India is a project born out of a simple thought- No one should go to bed hungry. Since its start, we at Noble nonprofit have distributed food supplies to the underprivileged regularly. We would like this to be a daily program, but to that, we need your help. If you have a restaurant or other catering business, you must already know how much food goes to waste daily. You can connect with us, and we can arrange for the food to be collected and distributed to people in need. You can also help by donating right here on this project, or you can even connect with us if you want to pay for a food distribution event.
The money that Noble Nonprofit receives under this project is spent to feed thousands of homeless people every month. This is done by running various food and ration distribution campaigns in slum areas across NCR. You can even become a monthly sponsor to a family and take care of their rations for the entire month. You will be surprised how little you need to share to help these families; feeding a whole family for a month would only cost you about what it costs you to go out for dinner one night with your family.
By helping feed the hungry, you are helping them fill their stomach and helping them with their health. Most undernourished people have a weak immune system which makes them vulnerable to health issues. Health issues include but are not limited to stunted growth, eye problems, diabetes and heart disease.
As mentioned above, Nourish India aims to see that no one goes to bed hungry, and you can make this a reality by caring, sharing and donating.
All donations to Noble Nonprofit are eligible for 50% tax exemption under section 80G of Income Tax, 1961.
